New secondary schools worth 70B tenge to be constructed in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The problem of schools in advanced state of disrepair will be solved in Kazakhstan completely in 2017, vows Minister of Education and Science Aslan Sarinzhipov.
"There are 7 232 secondary schools in Kazakhstan, half of which are underfilled. Plus, 135 are in need of capital repair. These schools are mostly concentrated in South Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, Atyrau and Almaty regions," Minister Sarinzhipov said at the ministry's meeting on Friday. According to Mr. Sarinzhipov, 67 new schools worth 70 billion tenge are set to be built across Kazakhstan by 2017 within the framework of implementation of the "Nurly zhol - Path to the Future" program.
