My future profession

Among numerous professions of the world profession of a teacher still remains one of the most important. It has always enjoyed the greatest respect in society. The efforts of teachers are addressed to the future. They build a bridge from today to tomorrow. They bring up and educate new generations of young people who will work and create for the welfare of their country.

Many young people go into teaching. The reasons for this choice may be different – family traditions and influence, influence of teachers, interest in some subject field, love to children. Lots of young people become teachers because it is an interesting and creative work. Work with children makes a person always young and enthusiastic.

But those who want to choose this profession must know that society and pupils themselves make high demands of a real teacher. A teacher must know his subject, work and be deeply interested in what he teaches. If you choose teaching as your future profession you should keep in mind it is great responsibility to lead and educate children as a teacher not only gives knowledge to his pupils but bring them up as well.

By own example he shows them how to behave themselves, how to follow some moral rules and postulates admitted in the society. That is why a teacher should be intelligent and well bred himself.

Every teacher should be well – qualified. He must have an adequate level of education and a good command of the subject he teaches. He should be able to arrouse children, s interest to his subject. One should understand that to be a good specialist it is necessary to study constantly in order to master your skills level of knowledge.

Certainly the teacher should first and foremost be found of children and be able to communicate with them. I should say, it is a great talent to understand and respect children. A teacher must love not only those who are good, beautiful, clean but also those who are uncared and so – called neglected because they in fact need the teacher, s love more than the others.

Best teachers pay great attention to development of child, s individual abilities and gifts, remembering that every pupil is a personality with his own inner world. Children want teachers to be understanding and patient, enthusiastic and initiative. A teacher must never be ignorant. An ignorant teacher teaches ignorance.

It is really difficult to be the teacher the children desire. But if you decided to become a teacher be ready for constant self perfection and looking for new ideas and ways to make educational process as interesting and effective as only possible.

Now I know what I am going to do after leaving school. I want to be an English teacher. It is a very interesting and difficult profession. It is interesting because you work with the pupils and with their personalities. It is difficult because you have to teach them a foreign language.

To be a good teacher means to be a highly educated person and to know a lot. Every day I improve my English, reading books, translating sentences from Kazakh into English, through magazines and sometimes speaking with English people.

I like English and I want to be a good and a just teacher.

To teach and to bring up children is the most important and noble thing, to my mind. I am eager to get the proper education to be able to do my best to teach my future pupils my favourite subject. I’ll try not only to help them to master it. I’ll try to help them to become good and clever people, to be honest, kind and noble.

Children are our future and I want them to be really good and educated people. Of course, the profession of a teacher is not an easy one. It demands a lot of knowledge, a lot of tenderness of feeling and sometimes a lot of patience. But I hope , that I’ll be a good teacher and my pupils will like me and my subject.
